Terms of service

ADDRESSES AND CONTACT INFORMATION

• Customers must give correct phone numbers and e-mail addresses for themselves and the receiver
• No liability will be taken by Coastal Flowers for issues caused by unsuccessful attempts to contact a customer where the details were invalid or incorrect.
• If a customer provides incorrect address details for the receiver, they may be charged re-delivery fees to the new address, or to come back to the shop.
• Coastal flowers does not accept responsibility for flowers that have been directed to a reception, front desk or particular location that have not been passed onto the receiver.
• In the event of a receiver not being home, and the driver having no information as to a safe place to leave the flowers (eg: okay to leave at back door), the order will be returned to Coastal Flowers and a re-delivery fee will be charged to the customer.
• If a customer gives permission for flowers to be left (eg: around the back) and the receivers are on holidays or not returning to their home, it is not the responsibility of Coastal flowers to provide a replacement or refund in this instance.
• If a customer gives permission for an item to be left at the door, and the recipient does not receive the item due to theft or wrong address, it is not the responsibility of Coastal flowers to provide a replacement or refund in this instance.

FLOWER AVAILABILITY AND SUBSTITUTION
• Pictures do not indicate an exact match to your order. The pictures of products are an indication of final size, value and finish. Flowers will be hand selected by our florist's on the day of delivery in the colour palette and value chosen by the purchaser. By placing an order with us, you agree to and understand this
• Flowers and plants are seasonal and subject to availability on the day of delivery.
• Hamper items are subject to availability on the day of delivery.

DELIVERY OF ALCOHOL

 

This is directly from the Queensland Government -

Businesses selling limited quantities of liquor as part of a floral arrangement or gift basket are exempt where:

  • the sale is part of a florist's business or the business of a person selling gift baskets
  • the quantity of the liquor is not more than 2L and, if the liquor includes spirits, the quantity of spirits is not more than 1L
  • the floral arrangement or gift basket must be delivered as a gift to an adult other than the purchaser of the floral arrangement or gift basket
  • the gift is to be delivered to a place other than the business where the sale was made
  • the total value of the liquor and the container in which it is supplied is not more than 75% of the gift's sale price
  • the liquor was purchased on a retail basis.

Please note we can refuse delivery based on the above.
